April 01: Sunset Sea Turtle Release
Where: Banyan Tree Phuket Beach
When: 18:00 – 19:30
Experience releasing a young sea turtle into the sunset waters of the gorgeous Andaman Sea. Tickets cost 3,000 baht and provide two adults with children one turtle to release plus refreshments. April 01-30: La Fête French Festival
Where: all over Bangkok
When: Various times
All things French hit Bangkok with La Fête. Besides the regular art exhibitions and concerts, there have also been puppet and street theatre shows plus a French film festival, not to mention plenty of fantastic Gallic cuisine.

April 03-09: Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes
Where: Gymkhana Club
When: all day
Hundreds of amateur cricketers from all over the world descend on Chiang Mai with great family games, a well-stocked bar, delicious bbq food plus fun for all.

April 13-15: Songkran Thai New Year
Where: All over Thailand
When: Dawn until dusk
Prepare to get thoroughly soaked with the crowds around Chiang Mai and all over Thailand at the traditional Buddhist New Year celebration of Songkran. The watery festival goes on all night and is probably the best time of year to visit Thailand.

April 18: Full Moon Party
Where: Haad Rin Beach, Koh Pha Ngan
When: starts after dark
Thailand’s famous full moon party kicks off after dark on the beach of Haad Rin on the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan. Prepare to party hard as live music is hosted by a number of different beachside bars and DJs travel from all over the world to spin the latest tunes to party people.

April 29: Pattaya International Ladies Clubs
Where: Pullman Aisawan Pattaya Resort, Wongamat Beach, Naklua
When: from 15:00
Royal Wedding Party to celebrate wedding of Prince William of Wales and Miss Kate Middleton. Entrance costs 800 baht per person and includes canapés, buffet and toast.
