February 01-15: Bay Regatta
Where: Phang Nga Bay
When: all day
Coming into its 15th year, The Bay Regatta will see 40-50 yachts racing around the islands and magical scenery of Phang Nga Bay, taking the participants through three provinces – Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi. The regatta expects record numbers of participants this year for four days of racing and a beach party in a different location each night. The fleet comprises locally-based yachts; visiting yachts from as far away as Australia; charter yachts from Europe; and yachts coming to Phuket specifically for this event.

February 03-05: Bangkok Guitar Festival
Where: Thailand Cultural Center
When: from 19:30
World-acclaimed jazz, classical and flamenco guitarists treat audiences with their skilful playing at the Thailand Cultural Center every year. Snap up tickets for evening concerts and improve your talent during daytime workshops with the artists at the Bangkok Guitar Fiesta.

February 07: Full Moon Party
Where: Haad Rin beach, Koh Pha Ngan
When: starts after dark
Thailand’s famous full moon party kicks off after dark on the beach of Haad Rin on the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan. Prepare to party hard as live music is hosted by a number of different beachside bars and DJs travel from all over the world to spin the latest tunes to party people.

February 10-11: Dead to the Last Drop
Where: Eastern Grand Palace Hotel, Soi Khao Talo
When: 18:00
Next production of the critically acclaimed theatre group the Pattaya Players takes place this month with dinner at 18:00 and show at 19:30. Tickets are 1,000 Baht per person and include an all-you-can-eat buffet along with show. For contact pattayaplayers@gmail.com.

February 10-12: Lanna Saa Paper Festival
Where: Tonpao Village, Sankamphaeng
When: all day
Experience this unique facet of Lanna culture with paper fashion shows and a wide variety of paper handicradts. Watch the production process and other traditional Thai entertainment such as kickboxing. Tel: 053 338048 for more information.

February 17: Soulful Saturdays
Where: Beach Republic, Lamai
When: 13:00 - sunset
Live DJs spin soulful tunes at the wonderful Beach Republic resort right on the sand of lovely Lamai Beach. Relax by their luxurious swimming pool and enjoy drink promotions on local beer, free flow wine for 800 baht and 2-for-1 on gourmet pizzas.

February 24-25: International Rock Festival
When: 18:00 - midnight
Where: Laguna Phuket
The annual Phuket International Blues Rock Festival is back for the 7th time – now in its new home: Laguna Phuket, Asia's finest resort destination! Presented by 91.5FM, this year's headliner, Chris Thomas King of New Orleans, has sold more records and appeared in more successful movies than any other blues artist this century.
